Only one full week left!! We welcome Bayley to Kōwhai this week, we are so glad you are here.
Wow, we have been so busy in Kōwhai with Athletics and today we had our Duathlon!! Duathlon Wow, all of the teachers were so impressed with the effort that all of the children put in and how much determination they showed to finish!! Some of the teachers will be feeling a bit sore after todays teacher race as well. We are hoping to put some photos up later on today. A big thanks to all of the parent helpers who made the event run so smoothly. Swimming We had our first swim of the new season on Thursday, thanks to everyone who sent along named togs and towels. We are aiming to go swimming again on Tuesday (and possibly Thursday or Friday) if the weather is warm. If you would like your child to swim please send along their togs and a towel on those days. The aim of our sessions is just to become confident in the water and to have fun! End of Year Prize Giving Year 0-3 This is on Friday 13 December at 11 am in the West Melton Community Centre, you are all welcome to attend. We will be singing a couple of songs for you. After the prize giving we welcome you to come back and have a picnic lunch with your children at school. Reports On Wednesday we sent home our end of year reports, completed goal sheets and next year placement forms. If you haven't already seen these, you may need to search the reading packets!! Reading Books All of our reading books will be collected on Friday or Monday. If you have any floating around at home please make sure that they are returned to school by Monday please. Also Library books should all be back by now. If you have any spare time in the mornings after drop off we would love some lovely parents to help us return all of the books to the book room. Lost Property There is an unnamed XS polar fleece in Kōwhai. If you think it might belong to you please come and claim it from a teacher.
