Kia ora koutou Kowhai parents and caregivers
Well Term 2 has come to an end! What a fantastic term it was! Parent Help for PMP Next term we will be introducing PMP into our classroom curriculum, PMP (Perceptual Motor Programme) helps to develop children's physical motor skills through a variety of exercises in a circuit type setting. So we can run this programme we are looking for parents to help during the afternoons. If you are able to offer your time please email Nicole ([email protected]). There will be more information to come. Changes to Thursdays Next term the Fab 5 will be in the Kowhai Community 2-4pm each Thursday. We will be running Thursdays as a normal day and Friday as a discovery 'Fun Friday'. On Thursdays a reading book will be sent home and Fridays will now be the poetry day. The Kowhai teachers will unavailable after school on Thursdays as we have meetings during this time. Gala Day The children thoroughly enjoyed Gala Day on Wednesday! What fantastic real life learning they had relating to managing money! We had lots of excited children when they picked up their hot chocolate, popcorn, slime, fudge and other goodies! Those who went through the haunted house came out buzzing! Learning Conferences Thank you to those who came to student-led conferences. It was great to be able to share with you the progress your children are making! West Melton's Got Talent Well done Lily and Bianca who were selected for the finals of West Melton's Got Talent on Thursday afternoon. We loved watching you on stage! Thank you for a great term! Enjoy your well-deserved two week break! Mrs B is off to Hawaii! Have a fabulous holiday and stay safe! See you all in two weeks, refreshed and ready for another busy term!
